Sugar may rise next week on signs output will decline in Brazil, the world’s largest exporter.
All eight traders, analysts and brokers surveyed by Bloomberg News said raw sugar in New York would increase. Before today, futures for October delivery gained 8.3 percent this week to 29.52 cents a pound on ICE Futures U.S.
Seven respondents said refined sugar on London’s NYSE Liffe would advance, while one said it would decline. Futures for October delivery gained 6.2 percent this week through yesterday.
Three respondents said refined sugar’s premium over raw may narrow, two said it would widen, and two were neutral.
