Raízen and Wilmar may creat joint venture  to export sugar VHP

Brazilian antitrust watchdog Cade  is reviewing  the deal involving   sugar and ethanol producer Raizen Energia SA and trader Wilmar International Ltd , to export VHP sugar.

The idea is to create a joint venture for sugar negotiations.

The existing sugar supply relationship between Raizen and Wilmar, which currently takes place through commercial contracts of sugar purchase and sale, would be strengthened through this corporate association between the parties.

According to Cade, the formation of the partnership does not result in horizontal concentration of any kind and is unable to generate competitive concern in the markets.
