Production unit in Fiji increases sugar crushing


The Labasa Sugar Mill producing sugar plant from Fiji, located in Oceania, aims to raise a quantity of sugarcane milled at 50 thousand tons in 2014, according to local media. The spokesman for the Labasa Sugar Mill, believes that the increase in the crushing is a result of increased efficiency within the production unit and said the goal from now, is to enhance its sugar production by 1 million tonnes by 2020, but it expects to upgrade its infrastructure and introduce the use of mechanized harvesting, besides the sugar refining.
