Northeast sugarcane industry awaits for R$ 600 million of government
The Northeast sugarcane industry awaits for R$ 600 million that the federal government should release.
The lack of that money will result in a more difficult off crop for the sector in the region, at evaluating of Renato Cunha, president of the Union of Industry of Sugar and Alcohol in the State of Pernambuco (Sindaçúcar-PE).
The sugarcane industry in the Northeast and North of the country entered the off crop last April.
The non-release of R$ 600 million, approved in the 2014 budget, according to Cunha, not released until now by cash flow issues, will be presentation theme of the President of Sindaçúcar-PE on Tuesday (26/05) to members of the Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Policy Committee of Pernambuco Legislative Assembly.
The theme of the presentation: “Ways to consolidation of the Sugarcane Industry in Pernambuco.”
