Industry must unite, says Stupiello
Investments in the sugarcane industry will not be taken up only by market issues or by point solutions from governments. “More than ever, the industry needs to work united”, says the agronomist, specializing in chemical engineering, José Paulo Stupiello, president of the Sociedade dos Técnicos Açucareiros Alcooleiros do Brasil (Stab).
80 years old, of which 52 of them work in the sugarcane industry, Stupiello says the sector is the victim of an unprovoked crisis by the sector.
The forecast of possible reinstatement of the world sugar market in 2017, and growing domestic market of hydrous, do not encourage the president of Stab. “We have to be optimistic, but without union will not be possible to work for the industry”, reaffirms.
Stupiello participates as a guest of the VII Production Technology Symposium of Sugarcane in held by Esalq until Friday (17/07) at the theater Unimep in Piracicaba (SP).
