The new terminal will be built into Logum pipeline system, company which Copersucar is one of the partners. This system also is under construction and the first section, located between Ribeirão Preto and Paulinia, will start operating in the coming months.
The work is one of the projects that make up the investment plan of Copersucar, which is applying R$ 2 billion in logistics by 2015, from which R$ 300 million have already been employed in the last two seasons. The funds seek more efficiency and expanding capacity for storage and transport of ethanol and sugar.
On March 18, Copersucar announced the start of the construction of its first ethanol terminal, in Brazil, in the city of Paulinia. With investments ofR $ 150 million and total storage capacity of 180 million liters in its first phase, it is expected to reach 360 million liters in the second phase of deployment.
