Brazilian organization received executives from the African Development Bank in the city of Piracicaba (SP)
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) held the Africa Week , in Brazil, last week. Foreign executives attended the AfDB – BNDES Africa Day 2015 and the Embraer visits and, in Piracicaba (SP) were received in the Ethanol Cluster (Apla).
At the seminar they discussed promoting increasing of trade relations and investment flows between Brazil and Africa. ” We have been promoting trade in products, equipment, solutions and Brazilian technology through the Project Brazil Sugarcane Bioenergy Solution for some years now, and with this, we have become a reference in business for the sugar-energy sector between Brazil and Africa,” reported Flavio Castelar, executive director of Apla.
The Brazilian trade experience with Africa, especially in companies based in São Paulo, brought a delegation of executives to visit and meet national technology equipment manufacturers and exporters of products that meet the entire chain of sugarcane. “Executives have come to get to know and have an overview of what Brazil can offer, in addition to talking about cooperation models,” Castelar said.
In Piracicaba, the international group met with managers at the premises of Dedini S / A, Raizen in the Usina Costa Pinto unit and Sugarcane Technology Center (CTC). At the meetings, issues related to the financial market of the countries and the business and investment opportunities between Brazil and Africa were discussed.
