Brazilian Companies set a target for foreign market for ethanol

Businessmen involved in the Brazilian Sugarcane Bioenergy Solutions project, developed jointly by the Local Productive Arrangement Alcohol (Apla) and the Brazilian Agency for Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil), defined in the workshop held last week, the eight target countries actions for the promotion of exports in 2011 and 2012. The following markets will be worked with immediate business perspective,: Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela in South America, Guatemala, Central America and the Caribbean, and Mexico in North America. In search of long-term results, the focus will be on Sudan and South Africa, in Africa, and Thailand in Asia. In these destinations, the goal will be to do research on the opportunities for future negotiations.

The Brazilian Sugarcane Bioenergy Solutions is a project that promotes exports of equipment, products and services of companies of this sector that aim to increase exports of the sector, projecting Brazil as a worldwide reference. The definition of target markets of the project came during the “Workshop of Potential Market Analysis” held at the Faculty Semar / Unicastelo in Sertaozinho (Sao Paulo), with participation of about 20 companies and technicians of Apex-Brazil Unit Commercial and Competitive Intelligence. The event was also supported by the National Center of Industries of sugar and energy sector and Biofuels (Ceise-BR) and the Municipality of Sertãozinho.
