According to a study released by IPEA (Institute of Applied Economic Research) on Tuesday, Brazil has potential to achieve an energy efficient model. Called ‘Energy and Environment in Brazil, “the study concludes that to be successful in this model, the country needs to promote incentives for renewable energy, invest in research and better distribute their resources.
For the authors of the research to environmental sustainability should be seen as an opportunity for socio-economic development. And the challenge for biofuels is becoming competitive with oil products.
