Brazil can reduce ethanol blend in September

The Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil, Edison Lobao, admitted last Friday, the 15th, the possibility of the government reducing the blending of anhydrous ethanol in gasoline between late September and no later than the 1st of October.

According to what the minister told the newspaper Estado de Sao Paulo, the idea is to adopt the same strategy used when starting thermal station to save reservoirs of hydroelectric plants. “The problem is that demand of ethanol has grown but the offer did not follow.”
