Biofuels Association of Zambia is contrary to ethanol imports from Zimbabwe


In Africa, the Baz – Biofuels Association of Zambia, announced on November 29, that they will be contrary to the decision of the government of the country to import ethanol from neighbor Zimbabwe, because this measure will disadvantage local producers of ethanol, and create more jobs outside than inside.

According to the president of Baz, Thomson Sinkala, the Zambian government should focus on empowering domestic producers, encourage the biofuels industry with clear and immediate public policies, to attract new investment to the bioenergy sector in the country.
